My work is deeply inspired by my curiosity of nature and architecture. As a child I grew up in a small New Hampshire town where I spent any and all of my free time exploring the vast forest that stretched for miles around my home. I was deeply fascinated by the way nature changed over time, and I wanted to know what each plant name was, how it came to be, and what would become of it one day.

I found healing for life’s hardships by quietly observing the world around me. When I was young, I found comfort in the forest, but as I grew older and moved away from the forest, I had to find new places to find solace. Once I moved to Columbus, the places I found the most peace in were places that appeared forgotten, uninhabited, almost waiting for new life to be breathed into them. Nature was often the life that slowly retook these structures reminding me that nothing is wasted and nature always pays attention even when we as people are not.

Nature, science, and art became a constant in my life. I began painting in high school to capture the stunning nature around me, but I wanted to know the scientific intricacies of what so deeply captured my attention. To fulfill this need for knowledge I attended Ohio Wesleyan University to study Botany and Sociology. My hope in sharing my art with the world is to inspire others to become more curious and observant to the world around them.
